Normal Donor Plasma Set
The Normal Donor Plasma Set is a set of individual normal donor plasmas intended for use in establishing normal ranges for assays where required. The set is comprised of 25 individual donor plasmas that have been tested and found negative of HIV and Hepatitis by FDA-approved methods.
The platelet poor plasmas within the Normal Donor Plasma Set are collected into 3.2% citrate, double spun and are collected from male and female donors with a typical age range of 18 and 65 years who are non-smokers and medication free. All plasmas within the VisuCon Normal Donor Set are screened and found negative for FV Leiden (APCR) and Lupus Anticoagulant. Tests for Prothrombin Time (PT), Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT), fibrinogen (clottable) and Factor II activity all report results within the normal range. The VisuCon Normal Donor Set contains a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis indicating the age and gender of each normal donor plasma.
